January Net Wages to be Up 1%

January net wages will rise 1% following the adjustment tax brackets,
credit points and child allowances by 4%. The increase in net wages will
vary from 31 shekels (10 dollars) in a monthly income level of 3,000
shekels (1,000 dollars) to 108 shekels (36 dollars) in a monthly income
level of 14,000-20,000 shekels (4,500-6,500 dollars).
As of January 1996, tax brackets will be adjusted as follows: 15% tax on
a monthly income under 3,020 shekels (1,000 dollars), 30% tax on a
monthly income of 3,021-7,950 shekels (1,000-2,600 dollars), 45% tax on
a monthly income of 7,951-14,400 shekels (2,600-4,750 dollars), 50% tax
on a monthly income of over 14,401 shekels (4,750 dollars).
